ecoCOOL Refrigeration and air conditioning, with it’s origins dating back to 1954 when Tom McDonald started his refrigeration business in Kieran Street , Kilkenny, are dedicated to offering a quality refrigeration and air conditioning company that specializes in the design, installation , maintenance and refrigeration service of equipment from top end manufacturing partners throughout the world.

Paying great attention to the Customer’s individual needs at design stage, we pay particular attention to the ENERGY side of our business as this is a crucial factor for all concerned.  Indeed . we go out of our way with each customer, large or small, to discuss and explain our designs from the Energy side. 

Started as a domestic refrigeration company by Tom , it grew into the Dairy, Butchering and Supermarket areas,  as refrigeration demands grew in the 60’s, 70’s. In the 80’s came the introduction of air con sector to Ireland for both heating and cooling which was embraced as a separate area for business. Hospitality in the 80’s became a large part of refrigeration with the introduction of cold room systems to chill beer and the growth in the hotel sector.

Today, ecoCOOL operates throughout the 32 counties with a dedicated team of design and install engineers.We will bring your project from inception through to finish in the most professional manner, ensuring our tight nit team work closely with the client at all times. Our total care back up maintenance program will ensure the equipment continues to perform to it’s original design.

We work closely with architects consultants, M+E contractors, companies or individual people in all relevant sectors to bring all types of project’s to fruition. Our top quality manufacturing partners are listed within our site and we constantly liase with them to keep abreast of best practice in our Industry
